Directions

From HWY 280 Southbound: Take HWY 280 South to the Bird Ave. exit, turn left on Bird Ave., follow until Bird Ave. becomes Autumn, follow the signs to the arena.

From HWY 280 Northbound: Take HWY 280 North to the Route 87 exit (Guadalupe Parkway) Northbound, exit at either Santa Clara St. or Julian St., follow the signs to the arena.

From HWY 101 Southbound: Take HWY 101 South to the Route 87 exit (Guadalupe Parkway) Northbound, exit at either Santa Clara St. or Julian St., follow the signs to the arena.

From HWY 101 Northbound: Take HWY 101 North to HWY 280 North, exit at Route 87 (Guadalupe Parkway) Northbound, exit at either Santa Clara St. or Julian St., follow the signs to the arena.

From HWY 680 Southbound: Take HWY 680 South until it becomes HWY 280 North, exit at Route 87 (Guadalupe Parkway) Northbound, exit at either Santa Clara St. or Julian St., follow the signs to the arena.

From HWY 880 Southbound: Take HWY 880 South to the Coleman Ave. exit, turn left onto Coleman Ave., cross over the freeway and follow to Julian St. or Market St., follow the signs to the arena.

From HWY 17 Northbound: Take HWY 17 North to HWY 280 South, exit at Bird Ave., turn left onto Bird Ave., follow Bird Ave. until it becomes Autumn St., follow the signs to the arena.

Public Transportation:
The following Transportation Agency Bus routes offer convenient service to and from the Arena: Route 22 (Eastridge-Palo Alto), Route 64 (San Jose-Almaden Expressway), Express Route 180 (Fremont BART-San Jose) and Route 68 (Gilroy via Monterey Hwy). Take Light Rail to the Santa Clara St Station and you can walk to the Arena or take the free Arena Shuttle Bus. Extra Light Rail trains will be added for major Arena events. Call (408) 321-2300 for information.

Service from any CalTrain station between San Francisco and San Jose, the San Jose Diridon Station, is available before and after all Sharks home games and other events. Call 1-800-660-4287 for exact departure and arrival times.

A free Arena Shuttle travels along 2nd St to San Carlos, up 1st St to Santa Clara, to the Arena. The shuttle stops at various places along this path. Service begins 90 minutes prior to events and operates every 15 minutes. Call (408) 321-2300 for more information.

Parking:
There are a limited number of spaces available at the arena, prices vary from $6 - $10. Parking is also available in public and private lots in the area. Disabled parking is available in lots A, B, C and D.

San Pedro Square, between Santa Clara St. and the next street down, has a collection of restaurants within walking distance of the arena. From the arena, head down Santa Clara toward downtown San Jose.

Castro Street in Mountain View (10-15 miles up HWY 101--see the Shoreline page for details) is another good group of restaurants, especially various Asian specialties.

Other Things To Do

If you're in a museum mood, the Tech Museum teaches you about the Silicon Valley and general technology information. There's also the Museum of Art and the Children's Discovery Museum (just look for the bright purple triangular building).
